How a webhook works
When an event occurs, SMSPort sends an HTTPS POST to the registered URL. Verify the signature, treat events idempotently, and update your own state from the payload.
- Validate the endpoint and event type.
- Read payload fields and persist them on your backend.
- Retry with backoff after transient 5xx responses.
